Selfie Stick Banned In Lollapalooza and Coachella
If you are one of those people who were looking at using a selfie stick the next time you are at Lollapalooza or even Coachella you are in bad luck as they have been banned in both the two events.
In what they say is a way of fighting narcissism, organizers of Lollapalooza and Coachella have banned the use of selfie sticks during the upcoming events which are set to go down this summer.
The California based musical festival has been quoted saying that the event does not support in any way “narcissists” or the use of “selfie-sticks” adding that they will not be allowing them in this year’s festival.
Other items which have been banned by Lollapalooza and Coachella are hula hoops, drones as well as bota bags which are basically traditional Spanish liquid receptacle which have been made of goatskin and leather.
Lollapalooza has opted to take a diplomatic stance with this issue posting it on their websites under the general ban section on “GoPro attachments like sticks, selfie sticks & monopods.”
The ban that has been issued by both Festivals comes after similar bans have been put in place on several venues in Europe which cite general obnoxiousness and safety concerns as the main reason as to why the initiated the ban.
In Europe the cities and places that you are not allowed to bring with a selfie stick are London’s O2 Arena, Franc’s palace of Versailles, The Wembly Arena as well as Rome’s iconic Colosseum.
